It’s my first play through (I know almost a decade late), one of your tips includes one of the hearts and stone dlc missions…should I start the dlc? Wouldn’t it mess up the story for a first time player?

Honestly it wasn’t that hard for me sure there were a few times I died and lost everything a grinded for but the minute I realized I could sell the resources you got from the chests made it go extremely fast and easy this probably only took me about 2 hrs at best on my first visit.

Piercing Cold is the best mutation if you're using Griffin Armor/sign build. I can kill Detlaff easily on Death March without even using a sword.

Gourmet is not that useful up until mid game, early game sure go for it but it becomes obsolete quick

For the swords and armor, to get the most coin possible and such, go to novigrad and then skellige. Once you fast travel a little to different islands, villages, go back to novigrad and sell to hattori. Repeat the process to maximize profit.
